Fact Check - Misinformation Campaign Originating in Thailand
A false report and social media misinformation campaign has ciruclated in Thailand, a key trade and tourism partner of Australia. ATTDT is currently investigating the source of this report, what led to it's release and how this is impacting Australia-Thai relations. We encourage all Australians to not reciprocate in boycotts of Thai products, or travel to Thailand due to these false reports.
Our taskforce is actively working with the Thai government as well as the United Nations to resolve the matter, aiming to return our trade and tourism industries back to a prosperous level benefitting both countries and people.

The accusations purported by the misinformation campaign have been discredited. Australia welcomes millions of international visitors and students every year. The Australian government maintains strong diplomatic and cultural ties with Thailand. Australia continues to be a welcoming destination for visitors from Thailand.
